Variety descriptions, ratings, maturity, yield comparisons and seeding rates on this website come from sources such as variety developers, distributors and regional variety trials. How a variety performs depends on your soil, weather, management and disease pressure, and results on your farm may differ.

This information is general. It is not professional agronomic advice for your operation. Please confirm important decisions with your agronomist, and always read and follow the label of any seed treatment or crop input.

We work to keep the website accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or free of errors. Availability, prices and specifications can change without notice. Spec sheets are supplied by the variety's developer or distributor.

The Seed Selector suggests varieties based on the answers you give and on published variety information. Treat its suggestions as a starting point for a conversation with us. They are not a guarantee that a variety will suit your field or perform in a particular way.

• A request is not an order. Sending a quote request or a reservation request does not commit you to buy, and does not commit us to supply.

• Quotes. A quote is our offer to supply on the terms stated in it. It is valid until the date shown on the quote and is subject to seed still being available when you accept.

• Accepting a quote online tells us you want to go ahead. We will contact you to confirm the details.

• Reservations. Seed is held for you only once we have confirmed the reservation.

• Errors and availability. We may decline or cancel a request, for example if seed is no longer available or a price was shown in error. If that happens we will let you know.

Payment, pickup, delivery, seed treatment, returns and any warranty on the seed itself are covered by the terms on your quote, invoice or sales agreement. If those terms and these Terms of Use say different things about a sale, the terms of the sale apply.

Many of the varieties we sell are protected under Canada's Plant Breeders' Rights Act, and some are sold under an additional agreement with the variety's developer or distributor.

Seed of a protected variety may not be sold, traded or given to others for planting, or conditioned for that purpose, without the authorization of the rights holder. The Act's farmer's privilege allows you to save seed of many protected varieties to plant on your own farm, unless an agreement supplied with the seed says otherwise. You are responsible for following these rules and any agreement that comes with the seed you buy.

• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

• Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what is done through your account.

• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.

• You can ask us to close your account at any time.

• We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.

When you use the website, you agree not to:

• use it for anything unlawful;

• submit false information, or someone else's contact details without their permission;

• use bots, scripts or other automated means to submit forms, create accounts or copy content in bulk;

• try to gain unauthorized access to the website, its accounts or its systems, or test it for vulnerabilities without our written permission;

• interfere with the website's operation, or upload anything harmful such as malware; or

• send us abusive or harassing messages.

The website and its text, photographs, illustrations, logo and design belong to Galloway Seeds or to those who have licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Variety names, developer and distributor logos and spec sheets belong to their respective owners.

You may view, download and print material from the website for use in your own farm business. You may not republish, sell or alter it without our written permission.

The website links to websites we do not control. We provide those links for convenience and are not responsible for their content or for how they operate.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the website.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the website and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express or implied. That includes any implied warranty or condition of accuracy, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and any promise that the website will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right that cannot be excluded by law.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Galloway Seeds and its directors, officers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or your reliance on information on it. That includes loss of profit, loss of crop or yield, and loss of data.

To the same extent, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the website is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

This section is about your use of the website. Responsibility for seed you buy from us is governed by the terms of that sale.

If your breach of these terms or your misuse of the website causes a claim against Galloway Seeds, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs that result.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time. We may also update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last updated, and continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Alberta. You agree that the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute about these terms or the website.

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, that does not mean we have given it up. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the website.
